What is GESTALT?

Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) is a developmental language model in which children acquire language in larger chunks or ” scripts ” such as whole phrases they’ve heard before learning to break them down into individual words. This differs from the more common analytic processing style, where children build language word-by-word. Recognizing which language processing style, a child uses is crucial for planning effective, personalized therapy. On 12th September, during the GESTALT Inauguration, Dr. Rehab Zaytuom (BSc in Medicine, MSc in Phoniatrics, Level 4 TalkTools Certified Speech and Feeding Assessor, PROMPT and SOS Feeding Trained) highlighted the importance of identifying each child’ s unique processing style. She emphasized the value of ABLE UK’ s multidisciplinary approach, which focuses on connecting the dots across communication, sensory, and motor needs.

Tailored Interventions Through Multidisciplinary Expertise

Speech therapists are trained to identify gestalt processors and support them through the natural stages of language development beginning with memorized phrases and progressing toward self-generated, functional communication using evidence-based techniques.

ABLE UK’ s team also incorporates techniques from PROMPT, TalkTools, and SOS Feeding Therapy, enabling them to support speech, oral-motor function, feeding, and sensory integration within one cohesive therapy plan.

By tapping into each child’ s strengths and providing coordinated, family-centered support, ABLE UK helps children on the GLP pathway develop meaningful, independent communication skills step by step.

Grand Inauguration of the Gestalt Area at ABLE UK

On 12th September, ABLE UK proudly inaugurated its new GESTALT Language Processing Center, a state-of- the-art facility designed to support clients through Gestalt therapy, a holistic approach that fosters awareness, connection, and being fully present.

The Gestalt Area, spanning around 1,450 sq ft, is thoughtfully designed to reflect ABLE UK’ s commitment to creating spaces that promote well-being and personal growth.

The inauguration was graced by Dr. Rehab Zaytuon, Speech, Language, Feeding, and Oral Placement Therapy Consultant, and Dr. Theresa May-Benson, Occupational Therapy Consultant and Mentor, both serving as consultants at ABLE UK and actively leading ongoing training at the ABLE UK Training Center. Their presence highlighted the expertise and dedication that support this innovative new addition.

A Milestone Celebration

Mr. Gursaran Sura, CEO, and Ms. Aman Sura, Director and Founders of ABLE UK, together with their dedicated team of therapists, proudly inaugurated the GESTALT Area. This state-of-the-art facility reflects ABLE UK’ s mission to empower clients, foster personal growth, and advance innovative therapy practices. Designed to create a supportive environment, the space allows clients to thrive, develop their potential, and engage fully in their therapeutic journey. This milestone highlights the founders’ vision and the team’s unwavering dedication.
